Diploma in English Language Teaching to Adults (DELTA): Detailed syllabus authorised by UCLES can be found here. The DELTA replaces the old DTEFLA and is administered by UCLES (University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate), who approve centres that run courses and ensure that every course is moderated by an external assessor. The fee for the complete DELTA course in 2008 is 1750 GBP including examination fee. Candidates can join the course in September or January. The course has 3 modules (components) corresponding to the current written examination, coursework, and case study. Candidates may take the modules individually, and the fees are £1300 each for Modules 1 & 2 (January to June) and £600 for Module 3 (September to December). A separate Certificate will be awarded for each Module passed, and the DELTA will be awarded when all 3 modules have been passed. The is no time limit for taking the separate Modules.
