The ELC has a wide range of learning support services to provide students with the help they need to succeed in their studies. There is no charge for these additional services and they are available to all students.
The ELC York is pleased to be able to offer a comprehensive suite of Learning Support Services; these include:-
- Guided E-learning
- Weekly Speaking Club
- Academic Support Counselling
- Well-stocked Multi Media Centre - IELTS tests, listening stations, laptops, wireless Internet connection
- Multi Media Centre is open from 16.15 - 18.00 Mon-Thurs and 15.15 - 17.00 on Friday
- Independent Learning Plans (ILPs) - students can get individually tailored support plans to make the most of their study time
- Extensive DVD library of classic and contemporary films and documentaries
- Library of over 1000 books, many with accompanying audio CDs
- Frequent tutorials with the course co-ordinator - usually every 14 days, more often if requested
