York is centrally located within the UK, so it is very accessible from overseas with several airports and a ferry port nearby.
Air
The nearest international airport is Leeds/Bradford (45 minutes from York by taxi transfer) but our students often use Manchester, Newcastle, Doncaster (Robin Hood), Humberside - all within 2 hours' transfer. Further away are Liverpool, Birmingham, East Midlands, Stansted, London Heathrow, London Gatwick and Luton airports.
